According to the Western system, the mind is described as having two parts, the upper mind and the lower mind. But the mind does not have two parts, the upper mind and the lower mind, and there is only one mind. But because of the high-speed operation of the mind, it appears to be in two parts. But only, one mind works at a time. But because of the high-speed operation of the mind, to the mind
1). While feeling that I am there, there are animals and people around us, there are houses, doors etc. material things around us, at the same time
2). It also feels like the mind moves from one purpose to another, from one purpose to another, from purpose to purpose.
Because both of these occur simultaneously, we feel that the mind has two parts ( the upper mind and the lower mind). But this happens because of the high speed of the mind. Otherwise there is only one mind at a time. This is the reality of the mind.
But we can describe the mind in another way in three parts. That is, the conscious mind, or upper mind, or outer mind, which is connected with the brain of a living person and operates throughout the present existence, is one. Also, the innermost mind or universal existing energy cloud or permanent mind cloud that operates throughout a person’s mundane existence or cycle of transmigration is one. This conscious mind, or upper mind, or outer mind, remains connected with the innermost mind, or universal existing energy cloud, or the permanent mind cloud through divine thread or astral thread throughout the present existence. Thus the conscious mind, or the upper mind, or the outer mind and the innermost mind, or universal existing energy cloud, or the permanent mind cloud, which are connected by the divine thread , have a part which overlaps with each other throughout the respective existence. It is the third part of the mind which is known as the subconscious mind or the lower mind or the inner mind. Along with time and experiences or attainments throughout the present existence, this third part of the mind, the subconscious mind or the lower mind or the inner mind gradually increases in size and at death or passing away the innermost mind or universal existing energy cloud or the permanent mind cloud separates from the physical body of the being. Then, at the same time the conscious mind or upper mind or outer mind together with the subconscious mind or lower mind or inner mind that existed throughout the current existence of the being is absorbed into the innermost mind or universal existing energy cloud or permanent mind cloud. Along with death or passing away the innermost mind or universal existing energy cloud or permanent mind cloud that arises in conception ( or Prathisandhi) is again connected with the physical body of the being in the new incarnation through the divine thread, and then the conscious mind or upper mind or outer mind and the subconscious mind or lower mind or inner mind originate. The above process is actually happening.
Here we take the cubic area or strength or power of the innermost mind or universal existing energy cloud or permanent mind cloud as α. Also, let’s take β as the cubic area or strength or power of the subconscious mind or lower mind or inner mind. And also, let’s take γ as the cubic area or strength or power of the conscious mind or upper mind or outer mind. In here,
α, β, γ ∝ Time , Past experiences ( Past attainments)
According to the above equation α, β and γ increase as the time ofsamsara (time of mundane existence or cycle of transmigrations ) increases ( as time passes) and as the past experiences or past attainments increase. This happens like this only with good or meritorious or virtuous emotions, thoughts and feelings. All the points I have described above are contained in diagram 20.07.01-a
